Brownies Community Chest donation
Meet the latest recipients of the Lawley Village Community Chest.
A local Brownies group has received a 250 cash boost as part of the LVDG Community Chest scheme.
The 1st Lawley Brownies, who meet in the Lawley Community Centre on Tuesday evenings, have used the money to buy sports and play equipment such as a parachute starter games pack, a skittles set, giant dominoes, skipping ropes, Frisbees and bats and balls.
All types of community groups, charitable organisations, teams, clubs, schools and colleges can apply for funding through the Community Chest and priority is given to those projects that directly benefit the people of Lawley Village.
Amanda Taylor, Leader in Charge of the 1st Lawley Brownies, says: "We are extremely grateful to the Lawley Village Developer Group for providing us with the funds to upgrade and buy some new equipment for our members. Weve chosen to buy mobile equipment so we can take it with us on trips and days out rather than be confined to just the community centre. The girls are looking forward to trying everything out."
