Show why Lawley is a great place to live in annual photography competition!
The hugely popular annual 'Loving Life in Lawley' photography competition is back for the third year running, welcoming local residents to enter their stunning snapshots showing why life is great in the Telford village.
Following the success of recent years, for 2016 the theme invites residents to show why Lawley is such a great place to live, offering enthusiastic snappers of all ages to submit eye-catching photography of Lawley for the chance to win prizes worth hundreds of pounds!
Three separate age categories will give primary school children, young people and adults an opportunity to take on their peers in the competition _ with the top two photographers in each category receiving a prize.
Individual prizes worth up to £500 will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in various age categories of the competition, which is being run by Lawley Village Developer Group (LVDG), a consortium of housebuilders comprising Barratt Homes, Charles Church, David Wilson Homes, Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey.
To enter the 'Loving Life in Lawley' competition, participants can submit up to three photographs that focus on the architecture, the local facilities, residents, the lifestyles or the landscapes at Lawley Village, to build on the work of previous competitions.
As well as scooping a great prize, winning entries will be displayed in the Lawley Village development offices and used in promotional items! Winners' entries will also be featured in a Lawley calendar.
The deadline for entries is Friday 30th September 2016 and the competition is open to three age groups: 11 years and under, with the winner receiving a £100 gift voucher and the runner-up a £50 gift voucher; 12 to 18 years, with the winner receiving a £100 gift voucher and the runner-up a £50 gift voucher; and adults, with the winner receiving a £500 cheque and the runner-up a £100 cheque.
Each entry should be accompanied by a description of what it is, when it was taken and why it was chosen. Photographs should be submitted with contact details in files titled with the entrants name and age, and sized no bigger than 2MB to firstname.lastname@example.org.
